Placement Test Via Internet
The VERSANT English placement test is a computerized test designed by Pearson and evaluates four different language skills.
You are allowed only one attempt to complete the test.
Before beginning the test, please make sure to:
1. Have sufficient time to complete the test (approximately 60 minutes).
2. Have a headset and a working microphone. Use the headset and microphone connected to the computer (no bluetooth, wireless).
3. No matter what platform you are using, PC or MAC, you must use the Google Chrome browser to perform the test. If your Google Chrome browser is blocking pop-ups, you must disable the blocker because the test will open in a different window when you log in to the test.
4. Run the test on your computer (tablets and cell phones are not compatible).
5. Check the compatibility of your equipment.
6. Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic email message from the « Scorekeeper », the web-based platform for taking the test.
The message contains your test number (TIN) and the link to the test. Make sure to check your junk email folder for any messages that you do not see.
7. When validating your TIN, you must enter your email address, last name and first name exactly as you entered them when you registered, including special characters and accents. Please refer to your confirmation receipt if you are unable to validate your TIN.
8. View a demo of the test to familiarize yourself with the interface and the type of questions.
